Answer by Debbie
Are these your parents who go into a rage? If so, they need to seek professional help and anger management to get their temper under control. They’re hitting you? That is abuse and the child should be removed from the home and stay with more stable and loving family members. No one deserves to be in that situation and children deserve to be in loving, nurturing environment.

Question by casey_leftwich: What are some ways to control temper and management anger?
Give me some tips and advice on how I can control my temper and management anger. I get frustrated fairly easy lately and become angry. I don’t want to be like this and want to gain control.

I only drink on occassion and in small quantities and I do not do drugs…so let’s not bring this into an equation.

I often bite my nails when I get frustrated, too. :-P

Look at things from a different perspective….Life is frustrating but not everything is worth reacting to. Choose your battles, take a deep breath and ask yourself “is this really worth getting upset about?”…Good luck

Indeshaw Adenaw about road rage and how to avoid it

Road rage is a dangerous and potentially crippling characteristic.  Anyone who has been behind the wheel of a car knows how frustrating it can be on the road.  That frustration does not mean you can do much about it.  It is commonly accepted that not everyone is a good driver.  So what do you do?  How do you road rage?  The first step is knowing what the causes of road rage are, beyond the guy cutting you off.  It is easy to blame road rage on others, that guy cut me off, she ran a red light, they cannot drive.  Yes, that is a very simple task, however road rage, for the most part, is interior.

What defines road rage?  Road rage is a term that defines violent behavior on the road.  A very simple definition, but a lot of actions can fall into this definition.  Some specific actions include weaving in and out of traffic, cutting people off, throwing objects at other cars, flashing lights, and of course yelling obscenities.  So what causes this behavior?  Why can some people remain perfectly calm while others get enraged?  Some experts point towards a mental disorder called Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED).  This disorder, as the name implies occurs when a person has outbursts at odd times, such as stress, or behind the wheel.

Regardless of what the term is called it can be very damaging.  Road rage in others is more of a matter of opinion than anything.  Sometimes the IED can cause disproportional reactions to the actions.  Unfortunately, it is hard to gauge what will set some people off.  The road can be a dangerous place when people lose their temper behind a wheel.  Even if the disorder is not to blame, people let their emotions get the best of them, and bad things can happen.  This is especially true if you add two vehicles that can weigh a ton each.

Knowing the causes may seem kind of bleak.  How do you stop someone who loses their temper on the road.  Or worse, how do you stop someone in road rage when you are not sure what you have done to be the victim?  The answer is not comforting if you find yourself in the situation.  There are two ways to deal with the situation, reactive and preemptive.  The reactive deals with reacting to someone in road rage, the preemptive deals with preventing the road rage from ever occurring.

If you find yourself as a victim, call the police right away.  Tell them that you have someone in the grips of road rage.  They will be able to guide you on the road.  Slow down, let the person get ahead of you and hopefully go on.  Slowing down does not mean you should stop.  If the person pulls over, keep going, do not confront the people outside of the vehicle.  As far as preemptive, be kind and courteous to everyone on the road.  Always use signals and try to communicate your intentions to everyone.  With this knowledge you can be safer on the streets, happy driving.

t rage quakecon08 ingamedirect h264 Rage is a first-person shooter and driving video game in development by id Software. It will use the company’s new id Tech 5 engine.[2] The game was announced on August 2, 2007 at QuakeCon. On the same day, a trailer for the game was released by Gametrailers.com.[3] Information available so far indicates that the game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world similar to that of movies such as The Road Warrior.[4] In an interview with GameSpot, designer Tim Willits revealed that the game is set in the near future following a comet collision with the earth.[5] Influences on the driving and racing gameplay include games such as MotorStorm and Burnout, according to another Willits interview by Shacknews.[6] Players will be able to upgrade their cars with money won from races.[6] Reports indicate that id is developing Rage with a T-for-Teen rating in mind,[4] and that the Xbox 360, PC, and Mac versions will ship on 2 discs, while the PS3 version will ship on one Blu-ray Disc.[4] John Carmack told Slashdot in 2007 that there is a Linux port under development, even if it’s not yet ready for testing.[7] However, as with earlier games from the company, the Linux version will be offered as a separate download which requires the Windows disk’s maps and game data to run. On July 14, 2008, id announced its decision to partner with Electronic Arts for publication of Rage.[8] Regarding the status of the Linux port after this announcement, John Carmack

Stop Being Angry: How Self Hypnosis Can Stop Anger

You have the ability to stop being angry using self-hypnosis. This anti-aggression approach offers new insight into your emotional states, helping you recognize how anger works. You can quit becoming angry easily when you put your mind to the task.

Stop Being Angry: Understanding Anger

The first step to stop being angry is to understand anger and how it works. Anger is an emotion that is designed to help you respond to a threatening situation. If you have aggression and temper issues then you probably already recognize the physical responses your body has when angry feelings kick in.

The physical responses are powerful because they are closely related to your natural fight or flight response. This is a survival mechanism that is supposed to protect you from danger. Anger becomes problematic when it occurs when there is no threat of danger present.

Fear and Anger

Angry feelings derive from fear. This may seem difficult to understand on the surface but it makes perfect sense if you think about it. You may become enraged when you are confronted with a situation that causes you great fear and anxiety. Think about things that make you turn red and consider the underlying feelings of fear associated with them.

Hypnosis CD for Help Overcoming Rage

You can get control of your fear and aggression by using a hypnosis CD to work through your emotions. This approach is particularly beneficial because it helps you recognize your emotional state for what it is. You are empowered with objectivity.

Objectivity and emotions are simply not compatible in the conscious mind. You are best to address these issues by going directly to the subconscious mind. You can accomplish this by using a hypnosis CD designed to help you work through these powerful emotions.

Neuro Linguistic Programming

In addition to hypnosis, you can also benefit from retraining your mind to respond differently to various situations. Neuro linguistic programming is the ideal intervention to help you to stop being angry and start responding to your environment with calm control.

When you fall into rage easily, you have little control over the emotional state. NLP helps you reprogram your mind, allowing you to take control of your emotions instead of continuing the habit of letting rage overtake you. The ideal program merges hypnosis with this approach.

Finding Help

Not all programs are created equal. Self-hypnosis CDs come in a variety of forms. You can benefit from finding one that merges NLP with self-hypnosis in a seamless fashion. You can find the help you need in a discrete format.

Debbie Williams presents a fantastic option in her stellar self-hypnosis recording found here – Stop Being Angry. This unique presentation offers a helpful introduction of NLP exercises that can help you achieve maximum results in little time. Debbie offers her outstanding talents in this valuable format that combines neuro linguistic programming with self-hypnosis .
